RateMyImmigration does not guarantee the accuracy, responsiveness, conversion, or business outcome of any lead. All lead purchases are final except where covered by the replacement policy below.

1. How Leads Work

Leads are generated from user-submitted inquiries on the RateMyImmigration platform. Users provide information including immigration needs, contact details, and preferences through our quiz or contact forms.

Qualified leads are distributed to matched consultants based on availability, location, and service category. Contact information is revealed only after a consultant purchases the lead.

2. Eligibility to Purchase Leads

Lead purchasing is available exclusively to consultants on an active Pro or Elite subscription. Free plan users do not have access to lead purchasing features.

By purchasing a lead, you confirm that you are a registered immigration professional and will only use the lead information for the purpose of offering relevant immigration services.

3. Lead Pricing

Lead prices vary based on type, intent, location, and exclusivity. The price is clearly displayed before purchase. There are no hidden fees.

Lead prices are set by the platform and may change over time. You will always see the current price before confirming a purchase.

4. Shared vs. Exclusive Leads

Unless explicitly marked as exclusive, leads may be distributed to a limited number of consultants simultaneously. Purchasing a shared lead does not prevent other consultants from also purchasing the same lead.

When a lead is marked exclusive, it will be available to only one consultant. Exclusive lead pricing reflects this additional value.

5. Lead Quality

Leads are based on real user-submitted inquiries. We make reasonable efforts to filter out incomplete or suspicious submissions. However:

  • We do not guarantee the accuracy of user-submitted information.
  • We do not guarantee that leads will be responsive or interested in your services.
  • We do not guarantee that leads will convert into paying clients.
  • Lead volume and availability depend on user activity, geographic demand, and platform conditions.

6. Replacement Policy

All lead purchases are final. A replacement will only be considered in the following circumstances:

Eligible for replacement:

  • Contact information provided is invalid or incorrect (e.g., non-working phone number or email).
  • The lead is proven to be entirely fictitious or non-existent.

Not eligible for replacement:

  • No response from the lead after attempts to contact.
  • Lead is not interested or has already committed to another consultant.
  • Budget or service type does not match your offering.
  • Change of mind after purchase.

Replacement conditions:

  • Requests must be submitted within 24 hours of purchase.
  • Supporting evidence must be provided (e.g., call logs, email bounce notifications, screenshots).
  • Replacement limits may apply per billing cycle.
  • Replacement decisions are made at the sole discretion of RateMyImmigration.

7. User Data & Privacy

Contact information within a lead is shared with you solely for the purpose of providing the immigration service the user requested. You must not:

  • Use lead data for any purpose other than the requested immigration service.
  • Sell, transfer, or share lead data with third parties.
  • Store lead data longer than necessary for business purposes.

You are responsible for complying with applicable privacy laws (including PIPEDA) when handling lead information.

8. Prohibited Use

Consultants may not:

  • Purchase leads with the intent of reselling or redistributing them.
  • Use purchased lead data to contact users about services unrelated to immigration.
  • Attempt to circumvent the platform to engage leads outside the platform's systems.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension and forfeiture of any active subscription without refund.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, RateMyImmigration shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from:

  • Lead quality, accuracy, or conversion outcomes.
  • Consultant-client interactions or disputes.
  • Loss of business revenue resulting from purchased leads.
  • Platform downtime or technical issues affecting lead access.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Lead Policy at any time. Continued use of lead purchasing features after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
